Steve Comtois - Bass Guitar,Keyboards, Back Vocals
Steve brings with him his varied music experience and talents to the band. Including Piano, Upright Bass, Banjo & Mandolin. Steve's versatility in music includes Country/Blue Grass to Classic Rock, Today's Rock and Alternative Rock.
Steve is a multi-instrumentalist, hailing from Margarestville, Nova Scotia, a village on the Bay of Fundy. "As long as I can remember, neighbors, friends, & family would gather once a week or so, to play music. There were always a few Fiddles, Guitars, & accordions to accompany the singers, & depending on the host, a Piano or Pump Organ."
Music was always a part of family life since both of Steve's parents sing & play guitar. Steve's father was in the military, so the family moved around until finally settling in St-Bruno, Quebec.
Steve's music studies were provided by the Montreal Music Conservatory, which gave him the foundation to expand his musical skills from Piano to Guitar & other stringed instruments, as well as song writing & teaching music.
High-school marked the beginning of joining & forming bands as well as performing on stage.
In College, Steve hosted a morning Radio program & produced the Daily News for Dawson's CFCD TV broadcast, eventually becoming Station Manager for CFCD. "I composed Original Theme Music for all my productions, and for many of my collegues. It was such a creative environment for song writing." Steve graduated from Dawson College in Radio, TV, & Film Production.
Steve is also a major original material contributor and partners closely with Réal in the production of the original material.
